No Obligation Interview
You and I meet in person to discuss my fees and services. We can also meet via the telephone.
You are free to ask any questions you have. Your decision to hire me should be made if you feel we
are a good fit.
Interviewing several doulas is a good idea so you can compare personalities and services.
2 Prenatal Visits
During this time we get to know each other better. We discuss your upcoming birth, your
expectations, and any concerns you might have. We can practice pain couping techniques and
ways to help you focus. We talk about what will happen after the baby is born. This is a good time
to plan so you will be confident all will be ready for your baby. I also direct you to any community
resources such as child birth classes.
*At times an additional visit may benefit Moms I offer them at no additional charge.
Prenatal Phone Consultations
I do not limit these and in fact look forward to hearing from you. After 37 weeks please call after
your weekly doctor appointments so I will be updated on your condition. I am also available to go to
your appointment to visit your doctor if you desire.
On call 24/7 starting two weeks before due date
I will be ready at a moments notice for your labor
Continuous Labor and Birth Support
Once I arrive at the hospital, birthing center, or your home I will be available to you through your
entire labor. Unlike the busy doctors, midwives and nurses I will not leave you until hours after the
baby is born unless you request some time to yourself. Many doulas have a 12 hour limit for labor.
My support is continuous.
Breastfeeding Support
The baby is most active one to one and a half hours after birth. The World Health Organization
recommends attempting to nurse your baby within one half hour of your birth if you so desire and
are able to. If you are a Mom who would like to breast feed your baby I can help you get started. I
can help pin point problems and direct you to resources if they are needed. You may call me
anytime day or night if you are in need of support or just want to be sure.
Postpartum Visit
After the baby is born you may have some questions you had not thought of before. Feeding,
sleeping, diapering or Postpartum Blues are some of the things we can discuss.
*At times an additional visit may be of benefit . I offer these at no additional charge.
Postpartum Doula Services
I am available in 4 hour blocks to help you after the baby is born. This is a service provided above
and beyond our regularly scheduled visits. I can come to help you get a nap in the day time or
assist you with baby care. You and your partner can get some sleep at night if you just need a
break. I even can do some light house work or cooking.
My Fees:
- $550.00 for my birth doula services. A $50.00 deposit is due when you book your due date.
$250.00 is due by our first prenatal visit. $250.00 is due two weeks before your baby is
due. You can pay with cash, check, or credit card through Pay Pal.
- $25.00 an hour for day time postpartum doula services and $30.00 an hour for evening and
weekend postpartum doula services. *There is a minimum of 4 hours for each session.
*Evenings start at 6pm at night *Weekends start at 6pm Friday evening and end at 7am
Monday morning
- Birthing From Within classes are available one on one and soon in a class setting. Class
fees will be $240.00 for a series of 6 group classes. A total of 12 -16 hours. Taught in 6
separate classes or in two full day weekend classes. Private class fees will be $350.00 in
your home.
*If you can not afford these fees I may be able to help or direct you to any agency that can. Every women who
wants a doula should be able to have one.
